Palms Turks & Caicos Resort
The Palms Turks and Caicos an elegant Grace Bay beachfront resort
The Palms Turks & Caicos is a $95 million, 72-suite boutique resort, situated on 12 landscaped acres with 460 linear feet of frontage on Grace Bay beach. It sold out a year before opening. In our view, the quality of materials and finish seen at the Palms is only approached by the “estate suites” at The Somerset and perhaps The Estate at Grace Bay Club. The initial hotel group was successful in implementing their distinctive brand of luxury hospitality and anticipatory service and the property is meticulously maintained inside and out.
In terms of service and resort experience, The Palms can be categorized with The Villas at Grace Bay Club and the Seven Stars Resort. As with those comparable high-end resorts offering full resort amenities maintenance costs (strata fees payable by owners) are at the high end of the range.
Five residential buildings feature exterior hand-cut Barbadian coral stone facing and hand-lit exterior gas lighting recreating the ambiance of a refined Caribbean estate from a bygone era. The five-building complex surrounds a $1.8 million infinity pool with a swim-up bar and restaurant. Inside, marble floors, milled crown moldings, wainscoting, mahogany furniture, and Egyptian cotton bedding add to the air of elegance. The resort will undoubtedly remain an architectural high-point in the Turks & Caicos for the foreseeable future.
