The Alexandra Resort

The Alexandra Resort Grace Bay Beachfront location and contemporary style

The 91 suite Alexandra Resort is currently part of the Turks & Caicos Collection of luxury all-inclusive resorts. It was completed in 2008 and is located on 10 spectacular acres of Grace Bay between the Binaca Sands and Beaches with 600 linear feet of beach frontage.

The reception building is on the eastern side of the development beside The Palms Turks & Caicos and features an open-air concierge lounge on the beach complete with sleek modern furniture and a fire pit. Suites are located in four buildings – each with elevator access. The 2 beachfront buildings are 4 storeys each and the two poolside buildings are 5 storeys. Building 1 (located on the beach beside the reception) is actually a timeshare building – the only operational timeshare in the islands at this time. The three remaining buildings are condominiums – Building 2 on the beach was built first. Buildings 3 & 4 are the most recent additions, looking out across the pool at Grace Bay beach.

Alexandra Resort suites have high ceilings, crown moldings, large decks and fully equipped fitted kitchens with granite counters (kitchenettes in studios). The decor is modern and playful, creating an atmosphere that is relaxed and appropriate to the setting – there is nothing “beige” about the Alexandra.

Resort amenities include a large lagoon-style swimming pool, Spa Sanay, Caicos Dream Tours excursions desk, 24-hour front desk service, an exercise room, and an onsite restaurant offering a  spectacular sunset dining experience.

It is difficult to compare the quality of Alexandra Resort suites to other resorts along Grace Bay. The development was phased and released to the market alongside the Seven Stars, the Villas at Grace Bay Club, and the Bianca Sands (formally the Regent Grand). The interiors compare favorably with earlier developments such as the Sands, Ocean Club Resorts, and Royal West Indies. Alexandra bathrooms, in particular, are nicely done, with separate baths and modern, glass-paned showers with heavy chrome fittings. In addition, the resort has the convenience of elevator access in all 4 buildings.
