Blue Haven Resort is one of the newer resorts in the Turks and Caicos comprising 35 sleek, luxurious suites is a single building with a private beach on the Leeward Cut at the eastern end of Providenciales. Originally named Leeward Resort & Marina this development opened under the Nikki Beach brand but despite the attractive high-end development and choice location, the Nikki Beach “concept” was ultimately unsuccessful. The development is now under new management and much work has been done to ready the Resort for the winter 2013 high season. That work includes the re-branding (as Blue Haven resort) process and the build-out of the following amenities:
(a) the already popular Salt Bar & Grill;
(b) the waterfront cafe and market on the canal – opening late 2013;
(c) the on-site Fire & Ice Restaurant – opening late 2013;
(d) the associated Blue Haven Marina which has secured IGY (International Global Yachting) branding which brings with it a level of assured service that will attract larger luxury yachts. Slips at the marina accommodate yachts up to 220 feet.
The point to take from the above is that the operation now offers a well-rounded line up of amenities, and factors such as the unique location with the private beach and the marina make it unique on Provo. Architecturally the Resort has an interesting colourful facade with a distinctive porte chochere entrance giving way to a huge open air lobby which looks out across the beach at the turquoise water. A choice of elevators provide access to upper levels and suite interiors are crisp and modern, with a nautical theme tying in nicely to the marina. Views from suite balconies are stunning.
While Blue Haven will certainly be attractive for prospective buyers who see themselves having a boat it has all the amenities you require for a memorable stay: free-form pool; spa; beach volleyball; bocce; etc. It also has the benefit of being located within a private gated subdivision with the additional privacy that brings. Leeward is a quieter area perfect for walking and cycling. Its also just a short drive or cycle to the shops and restaurants in central Grace Bay. Last but not least the waterfront location means you are only minutes away from world-class diving, deep sea fishing, bone fishing, kite boarding, eco-kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding or just plain cruising over to the uninhabited cays located within view. The adjacent mangroves offer the best eco-adventures of all Turks and Caicos resorts directly from Blue Haven’s doorstep.
This development is quite clearly in the midst of a turn-around and we believe that the current pricing on suites listed within the development will appear cheap as the 2013 high season progresses. Our suites at Blue Haven are a “must-see” for boaters and those seeking luxury in a setting which is truly unique.
